Professor X and Jean travel to Chicago to offer Kitty a chance to study at the Institute, as Kitty is tempted to side with Lance and his offer to use their powers for profit.

How far will Evan and Pietro’s competition carry them, and can Spyke be convinced of his need to join his aunt at the Institute?

After an argument over whether or not to go to Duncan Matthews party, Kurt accidentally teleports into the high school basement and discovers a long lost laboratory. In the ensuing explosion, he is trapped in an pocket dimension called the Middleverse. Within Middleverse, he finds Forge, genius mutant, creator of the exploding lab, and trapped since the 70s. The X-Men must learn to trust Kurt in order to bring Kurt and Forge back as Rogue struggles with her role in the Brotherhood.
